Infectious Enthusiasm

I almost forgot about it. One of my friends reminded of it, and so i decided to write something. Enthusiasm is infectious. No matter regarding what – good or bad – if you are enthusiastic about it, you will get people involved. You will infect others.

Enthusiasm is a communicable disease. It has no cure. It has no medicine. It is a sweet poison which will make you feel better when you are sick with it.

But some people will find a way to get away from any kind of disease. And i have seen such people who have a shield around them, which will not let them get infected. They have a shield of NEGATIVE THINKING and ATTITUDE that will not let them think good and be enthusiastic. Enthusiasm can not go thru that shield, and people do not get infected.

That is one of the reasons i forgot about my infectious enthusiasm, because i have a few people around me who are shielded. They are vaccinated. And if i stay around them for long, I will loose my powers of infection. They will become penicilling for me. God does not want that, and so he sent me a doctors advice. Thanks to my friend for being a Hanuman for me and remind me of the powers i have.

My enthusiasm has helped me a lot. In achieving things, in reaching places, in creating success. Even making new friends. I wish i can stay the same, and be more enthusiastic in future. I wish to infect more and more people every day, so that they can go and infect others. After all enthusiasm and energy are the things that make this world moving.

Go ahead, Spread it. Enjoy it. Enthusiasm is the key to success.

I feel it is very broad topic and require bit more of training n conditioning within team. 10 Tips for Career Success in Office, especially applicable in information technology and service industries


1. Find ways to learn continuously.

2. Find ways to improve whatever you do. Be willing to incorporate the new ideas that you learn in #1.

3. Do your work completely and with pride.

4. Be true to your own values.

5. Clear up those irritations (energy drains) so that you can devote your energy to your work.

6. Practice self-care so that you feel good about yourself.

7. Keep work in perspective so that you hav! e time for other parts of your life (family, friends, hobbies, volunteer work).

8. Listen carefully to everyone. Managers need to walk around and talk to employees and customers.

9. Network within your company and outside.

10. Delegate tasks when appropriate and empower those doing the work to do it their own way.

You will never be the perfect entrepreneur. No matter how hard you work to avoid catastrophes… at some point, disasters will happen. At times, you will look bad, and your reputation will be injured. Here are some steps for embracing your own humanity, and turning “bad” situations into incredible, marketing situations.

Step 1- Laugh at yourself and your mistakes. (Getting upset about the situation won’t fix things. Look at this as an opportunity instead.)

India Tester /QA Analyst ( 2 Positions)
Primary responsibilities –

  • This position is responsible for ensuring compliance and quality standards are met for multiple information system products and services. The incumbent may coordinate/ facilitate training sessions for internal/external customers and may assist in change & release management functions.
  • Define, document and communicate Software/Hardware Testing process and procedures for the enterprise.
  • Analyze, design and construct a variety of quality control tests that ensure software/hardware meets specified standards/designs and/or requirements.
  • Execute a variety of quality control tests encompassing both manual and automated tests.
  • Design and document test strategies and test plans for IT projects and efforts.
  • Conduct defect management process and root cause analysis.
  • Analyze, document and communicate test results to project teams.
  • Improve Software/Hardware testing process and procedures.
  • Create and manage test data efficiently
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business partners.

Skill Required –

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • 2-5 years experience in software/hardware testing
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and software development methodologies
  • Experience leading a project that includes creating estimates and managing QA deliverables.
  • Experience in all test phases (Functional manual and automation, system and performance)
  • Must possess strong hands-on knowledge with HP Test Tools (Quality Center, QTP, LoadRunner or any automation tool)
  • Working scripting and programming knowledge
  • Ideal candidate will be self-starter, very detailed-oriented and possess sharp problem solving and documentation skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working SQL knowledge
  • DBMS familiarity
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure/operational environments (server, hardware, network, etc..)
  • Knowledge of the SDLC process – 2 years; exposure to multiple Project methodologies a Plus

Oracle Database Administrator ( 2 Positions)

 Primary Responsibilities –

  • Plans, coordinates and administers matters related to Oracle database(s), including base definition, structures, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. May direct the following: troubleshooting, recovery, tuning of the database, software installation and upgrades, resolving Oracle errors and failures, auditing activities, and resource utilization. Will be internal, system-focused, working within our department, and occasional with outside groups (such as finance, sales, human resources). Will include company-wide, Web-enabled solutions. Must participate in fully documented change management process, work with system administrators to ensure backups, network connectivity, and other basic infrastructure needs are met. Additionally, will be asked to participate in periodic audit activities to ensure basic controls are maintained and functioning as it pertains to database security, compliance with change management etc. For any and all activities that are unique to Eclipsys, detailed training will be provided to ensure employee understands his/her role and responsibilities.
  • KNOWLEDGE: Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Must be an 11i/12i ERP Application DBA and added plus performed Linus Adminfunctionsc familiarity with Oracle 11g a huge plus. PLSQL TOAD Oracle Developer
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts.
  • SUPERVISION: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

What is Oracle E-Business Suite


Oracle’s E-Business Suite is a fully integrated system package that provides access to Oracle’s business applications in a database environment. The suite is available in internet format and provides strong flexibility in integrating Oracle systems across applications. The E-Business Suite includes multiple products, such as Oracle Financials (Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Payables, Oracle Receivable), Oracle Logistics, Oracle HR, and Oracle Sales. The most current E-Business Suite release is edition 12, which debuted in January 2007

 The suite is comprised of a three-tiered hardware architecture. The tiers are database, application and PC. Sometimes referred to as Oracle’s “E-Business Suite”, Oracle Applications (currently Release 12, released 31st January 2007), contains several product lines.

Hello Friends,

In my past organization it was very important to use high jargons even for small things or activities, even for giving help to juniors or bit of guidance used to consider as mentoring. Coaching was very common word. Recently i am reading one book on mentoring, now realizing that mentoring is not just a bigger coverage areas but it is important as well in order to build and keep a successful team/ group and to make them grow in order to achieve your own and their success. Once i get more thoughts i like to share it, here i just putting very high agenda on what mentoring is… i also more from your side as well as feedback.
